BULLY BOY PRESS CEDRIC'S BIG MIX & THOMAS FRIEDMAN IS A GREAT MAN & ANN'S MEGA DUB  & THE WORLD TODAY JUST NUTS & THE COMMON ILLS  -- THE KOOL AID TABLE

REACHED FOR COMMENT BETWEEN THREE-WAYS, BRIDGET ZIEGLER TOLD THESE REPORTERS -- MUST CREDIT  BULLY BOY PRESS CEDRIC'S BIG MIX & THOMAS FRIEDMAN IS A GREAT MAN & ANN'S MEGA DUB  & THE WORLD TODAY JUST NUTS & THE COMMON ILLS  -- THE KOOL AID TABLE   -- "YES, AND WE AT MOMS FOR BIGOTRY WILL BE BANNING THIS BOOK BY THE END OF AUGUST."

ASKED IF ANYTHING COULD DERAIL OR DELAY HER BANNING PLANS, BRIDGET RESPONDED, "NO!" THEN SHE PAUSED A MOMENT BEFORE ASKING, "WHY?  YOU KNOW SOME LOVELY LADIES WANT TO HOOK UP?"

FROM THE TCI WIRE:

We've got a lot to cover but we have to start with one topic.  First off, Donald Trump.  January 6, 2021.  A number of e-mails insist that I'm supposed to defend him and that various people are wrong to argue that he's be removed from the ballot.

Our position on insurrection was: This is a serious charge and based on what was known in the immediate aftermath, I was comfortable -- as someone who studied poli sci as an undergraduate and a graduate and who, as a graduate, emphasized especially revolutions and rebellions -- was comfortable with a rebellion.  At that time.  Little provided by Congress' nonsense (so-called investigation) persuaded me to change my mind.  One periodical that we highlight from time to time jumped the gun.  They may have had a 'feeling' but the evidence was not there for the immediate call.  We didn't highlight any articles from them in the first three months after January 6th that dealt with what happened for that reason.

We have since had many of Trump's cohorts flip on him.  And much more has been uncovered.

I am comfortable with the term "insurrection" being applied now.  This was a plot.  It was an effort to avoid a duly elected official from being sworn in.  The loser (Donald) plotted and lied and put the country at risk -- he put democracy at risk.

Anyone grabbing the vapors, so sorry. Here's Ken Block at USA TODAY yesterday:

In November 2020, former President Donald Trump asserted that voter fraud had altered the outcome of the 2020 presidential election. The day after the election, his campaign hired an expert in voter data to attempt to prove Trump’s allegations and put him back in the White House.

I am the expert who was hired by the Trump campaign.

The findings of my company’s in-depth analysis are detailed in the depositions taken by the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol. The transcripts show that the campaign found no evidence of voter fraud sufficient to change the outcome of any election. That message was communicated directly to White House chief of staff Mark Meadows.

Our findings have also been subpoenaed by special counsel Jack Smith’s federal investigation and Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ investigation in Georgia. Those emails and documents show that the voter data available to the campaign contained no evidence of large-scale voter fraud based on data mining and fraud analytics.

More important, claims of voter fraud made by others were verified as false, including proof of why those claims were disproven.

Donald lied repeatedly.  He attempted to steal the election.  He wanted a riot because that could provide a delay.  Go back to the archives, I stated repeatedly that once the electoral college voted, it was over.  Whether it was stolen or not, a presidential election ended with the electoral college vote.  There is no direct vote for president.

He allowed a riot to take place, he did nothing to stop it.  He wanted it to take place and was to slide in his slate of fake electors.

A majority of Americans believe the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot was an “assault on democracy that must not be forgotten,” as per a Washington Post-University of Maryland poll released this week. The poll was conducted Dec. 14-18 and included 1,024 respondents. The poll has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 4.1 percentage points.

The poll indicates that 55 percent believe the riot was a stark assault on democratic principles, while 43 percent said “too much is being made” of the riot and that it is “time to move on.”

The ramifications of the riot have permeated political discourse and action, as seen in the bold move by Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows (D), who decided to remove former President Trump from the state’s ballot, citing the 14th Amendment. Bellows said she had concluded the former president “over several months and culminating on January 6, 2021, used a false narrative of election fraud to inflame his supporters and direct them to the Capitol to prevent certification of the 2020 election and the peaceful transfer of power.”

What he did was outrageous and illegal.  And it was a direct threat to democracy.  Yes, he is legally liable for trying to steal the election.  If he wasn't, then nothing stops the next president who doesn't want to leave office from doing the same.

I'm taking Shenna Bellows at her word.  I believe her.  If she's telling the truth, she did her duty.

"Oh! It's going to hurt us!"

What?

Since when are we too chicken to enforce the law.

This is nothing minor.  This is huge.  A loser refuses to accept the outcome of an election, he plots to install a separate set of electors to vote in the electoral college, he stirs up his supporters with massive lies about his votes not being counted and the election being stolen, he encourages a crowd to come to DC to 'stop the steal,' he stirs them up with a speech and sends them off to Congress, a riot takes place.

In what damn world is that acceptable?

It's not an it was an insurrection and is it is violation of the Constitution -- and not just the 14th Amendment.  He violated Article II Section 1 as well as The Constitution's 12th Amendment (the sections on the electors which does not have the president lobbying for an alternate slate.)

Again, some people rushed to conclusions based on the gut.  They may have been right, they may have been wrong.  We now know a lot more than we did in January of 2021.  Donald Trump violated the Constitution in numerous ways.

You break the law, you need to suffer the consequences.  That's especially true when you committed a fraud upon the nation in an attempt to hold on to an office that you lost.

He conspired to steal the presidency from the rightful winner, that's a serious crime.

So all the ones wringing their hands now about what effect pulling him from a state's ballot might have?  I'm more concerned with the laws that were broken and how ignoring them normalizes Donald Trump's actions for future losers who don't want to leave the White House.  That is actually the more serious issue and the one that the government needs to address.

I don't care about the hand wringers.  I also don't care about the liars like Jonathan Turley who keep claiming some bad precedent is being set via accountability.

No.  When you break the law you should be punished.  That's the rule of law.  He can lie and distort all he wants but that is how it works and, again, failure to do so would actually set a precedent -- a very bad one.  Jonathan's sick in the head and sick in the heart, don't let him deceive you.

As for his and his supporters nonsense of 'double jeopardy' or the issue having been addressed in Congress.  The House impeachment was seeking removal from office.  That's it.  He can face -- and should -- criminal charges and, no, this is  not double jeopardy.  And, please note, I thought both impeachments were nonsense.  I stand by that.  But that has nothing to do with facing charges in a criminal court.

Had Nixon not resigned and been impeached that would only have removed from office.  Grasp that.  Grasp that he resigned to avoid impeachment and he would have faced -- and should have faced -- criminal charges but Gerald Ford pardoned him.

Numerous GOP nominees currently say they will pardon him.  That's another reason not to vote for them.  That's another reason for me to vote for the Democratic Party nominee whomever it is.  (I'm really hoping we'll have a March 31st LBJ repeat but I'm voting Democratic regardless.  I've explained why.  I'm not telling you how to vote, I'm telling you how I'm voting.)

Donald Trump is not an anomaly and, believe it or not, when it comes to that crazed MAGA crowd, he's actually one of the milder ones.  Consequences have to be delivered to send a message to the Marjorie Taylor Greenes and other insane crazies who have their own presidential aspirations.

THIS JUST IN! JONATHAN TURLEY SPITS AND SWALLOWS!

BULLY BOY PRESS CEDRIC'S BIG MIX & THOMAS FRIEDMAN IS A GREAT MAN & ANN'S MEGA DUB  & THE WORLD TODAY JUST NUTS & THE COMMON ILLS  -- THE KOOL AID TABLE

WELL GUESS WHO GOT CAUGHT WITH SOMETHING EXTRA ON HIS BLUE GAP DRESS?

FORMER PRESIDENT AND FOREVER NUT CASE DONALD TRUMP TOOK TO HIS VERSION OF TWITTER AND DID A BIG DUMP TELLING PEOPLE TO "ROT IN HELL."  INSTEAD OF EXPRESSING OUTRAGE OVER THAT "CHRISTMAS DAY GREETING,' JONATHAN TURLEY -- ALLEGED LAW PROFESSOR BUT VERIFIED BIGOT -- DROPPED TO HIS KNEES, PULLED IT OUT OF TRUMP'S PANTS BUT BEFORE GETTING DOWN TO BUSINESS TOLD AMERICA

Trump's message of "May They Rot in Hell...Merry Christmas" is to holiday greetings what Die Hard is to Christmas movies: a matter of considerable interpretation for those of us stuck in the Peace-on-Earth or even just Ho-Ho-Ho mindset.

THE REPLIES CAME FAST.

1) For brief moments (there aren’t many) when I don’t feel embarrassed to have sought out ’s class when I was in school, he goes out of his way to shame an institution I hold dear, , at every possible turn even on a holiday. It would be funny if it wasn’t so sad

2Did you have to take his junk out of your mouth before you posted this, or can you do two things at once?

3You are pathetic
, one is a MOVIE, the other is suppose to be a Presidential Candidate. You pathetic attempts to excuse anything Trump does is shocking.

4You really are a loser Jon. An embarrassment to your University. How sad you really are….

5Another fine addition to GW’s law school recruiting brochure…

6) As a fellow lawyer I can appreciate a solid defense. This isn’t one. At what point do you look in the mirror and realize you’ve sold out?

7) Easy to see why other lawyers call you MIKE LINDELL WITH TENURE

8) Who is blackmailing you and how young are the kids in the picture?

9) Does your soul ever ache from all the lying?

10) @GWU, having served as Public Affairs or PIO at multiple universities, you have a problem on your hands. Free speech is paramount in Universities, but even tenured professors can tarnish your brand. That's what Turley is doing. Defending the indefensible with nonsense for pay.

AND FROM THERE, IT JUST GOT WORSE.

REACHED FOR COMMENT BY THESE REPORTERS, SWIRLEY TURLEY HISSED, "THE JOKE'S ON ALL OF YOU!  SANTA LEFT ME KNEE PADS FOR CHRISTMAS!"

AND JONATHAN'S GOING TO GET A LOT OF WEAR OUT OF THEM.

AND, JONATHAN, "THE JOKE'S ON ALL OF YOU!"?

NO, JONATHAN, THE JOKE IS ALWAYS YOU.  YOU ARE THE JOKE AND YOU MADE YOURSELF THAT.

FROM THE TCI WIRE:

REUTERS notes, "Pope Francis said in his Christmas message on Monday that children dying in wars, including in Gaza, are the 'little Jesuses of today' and that Israeli strikes there were reaping an 'appalling harvest' of innocent civilians."  The comments meant nothing to Benjamin Netanyahu -- War Criminal and prime minister of Israel. THE IRISH TIMES notes, "In an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal on Monday, Mr Netanyahu reiterated three prerequisites for peace: Hamas must be destroyed, Gaza must be demilitarised, and Palestinian society must be deradicalised."

The War Criminal knows full well that every bomb he drops, every life he takes only radicalizes the people in Gaza all the more.  He's used collective punishment from the start because he is a War Criminal.  Jake Johnson (COMMON DREAMS) reports:

In an unsparing Christmas sermon delivered from the occupied West Bank over the weekend, Rev. Dr. Munther Isaac decried the complicity of the church and Western governments in Israel's ongoing assault on Gaza, a nearly three-month military campaign that he called an "annihilation" and a "genocide."

"Leaders of the so-called 'free' lined up one after the other to give the green light for this genocide against a captive population. They gave the cover," Isaac, a Palestinian Christian theologian, said during a service titled, "Christ in the Rubble: A Liturgy of Lament."

"Not only did they make sure to pay the bill in advance, they veiled the truth and context, providing political cover. And, yet another layer has been added: the theological cover with the Western Church stepping into the spotlight," Isaac added. "Here in Palestine, the Bible is weaponized against us. Our very own sacred text... The theology of the empire becomes a powerful tool to mask oppression under the cloak of divine sanction."

With most of the territory's population struggling to survive under the intertwined threats of starvation, disease, and near-constant bombing, Isaac said that "Gaza today has become the moral compass of the world."

"If you are not appalled by what is happening, if you are not shaken to your core, there is something wrong with your humanity," Isaac said from Bethlehem, which Israeli forces attacked on Monday. "And if we, as Christians, are not outraged by this genocide, by the weaponizing of the Bible to justify it, there is something wrong with our Christian witness, and we are compromising the credibility of our Gospel message. If you fail to call this a genocide, it is on you. It is a sin and a darkness you willingly embrace."

And now the Israeli government is targeting The Red Cross.  THE NATIONAL notes:

Israeli shelling has hit the Palestinian Red Crescent's headquarters in Khan Younis, it said on Tuesday.

Israeli strikes have been getting closer to the headquarters, adjacent to Al Amal Hospital, both which shelter 14,000 displaced people.

[. . .]

The Palestine Red Crescent said that artillery shelling targeted the upper floors of its headquarters in Khan Younis, causing several injuries among the displaced people.

At what point do world leaders start listening to their populations and end this assault?

THE GUARDIAN explains what's going on in the video above:

As he vowed to continue the war during a speech in parliament, relatives of the hostages interrupted him and called for their immediate return. “Now! Now!” they shouted.

Families who have been awaiting their loved ones’ return after 80 days in captivity booed the prime minister, as Netanyahu said Israeli forces needed “more time” to increase military pressure on Hamas, which he argued would help to secure the captives’ release.

Later, protesters gathered near the defence ministry headquarters in central Tel Aviv before a war cabinet meeting, holding posters demanding “Free our hostages now – at any cost!”

On Monday, the opposition leader, Yair Lapid, said Israel needed to “bring the hostages home now”, adding: “We are not doing enough.” His comments were met with applause from the families of hostages.

THIS JUST IN! WHERE'S DOO-DOO DESANTIS!

BULLY BOY PRESS CEDRIC'S BIG MIX & THOMAS FRIEDMAN IS A GREAT MAN & ANN'S MEGA DUB  & THE WORLD TODAY JUST NUTS & THE COMMON ILLS  -- THE KOOL AID TABLE

PROVING YET AGAIN THAT HE IS NOT QUALIFIED TO BE PRESIDENT, FLORIDA GOVERNOR DOO-DOO RON DESANTIS SPENT SUNDAY IN IOWA WHERE HE WAS HECKLED.

WHILE DOO-DOO PRANCED AROUND IOWA, FLORIDA WAS HIT BY SE VERE WEATHER -- DUVAL COUNTY WAS FLOODEDTAMPA WAS FLOODED, GULFPORT WAS FLOODED, ST. PETERSBURG WAS FLOODED --

AND WHERE WAS THE GOVERNOR?  AGAIN, IN IOWA.

ATTEMPTS TO REACH DOO-DOO TOOK FAILED DUE TO THE FACT THAT EVERYONE'S QUITTING HIS CAMPAIGN AS HE CONTINUES TO FAIL TO DELIVER VOTERS.

.

WE WERE ABLE TO REACH HIS CHIEF RIVAL NIKKI HALEY WHO EXPLAINED, "LITTLE RONNIE JUST WANTED THE YEARBOOK PHOTO, HE DIDN'T WANT TO DO THE ACTUAL WORK REQUIRED AND, SADLY, FLORIDIANS ARE SEEING THAT YET AGAIN IN THE CURRENT CRISIS."

FROM THE TCI WIRE:

"Intense" -- in all its forms -- is the word today when you scan through press reports.  Two examples, REUTERS serves up "White House in 'intensive' talks with Israel on next phase of Gaza war, aide says" and MIDDLE EAST MONITOR offers "Report: Israel sets end of January to end 'intense phase' of Gaza war."  End of January?  Gaza has over 83% of its population displaced.  It's not even January.  The residents are supposed to endure this brutal assault for at least six more weeks?  That's outrageous.  And so is the White House and its weak ass position.  Their cheap talk -- "intensive" or not -- is worthless.  People are dying.  Children are dying. Butcher Biden is complicit in this assault.  Butcher Biden's been pimping for this assault since the beginning.  Yesterday, Jeremy Scahill (INTERCEPT) noted:

On October 11, four days after the Hamas-led attacks in Israel, President Joe Biden addressed a group of Jewish community leaders in the Indian Treaty Room of the Executive Office Building in Washington, D.C. “I’ve been doing this a long time,” Biden said. “I never really thought that I would see and have confirmed pictures of terrorists beheading children.”

It was a jarring statement. And it was false.

Biden had seen no such pictures, nor received any such confirmation. He made those comments after Nicole Zedeck, a journalist for Israel’s i24 News, reported that 40 babies had been decapitated, citing Israeli soldiers at the scene of the attacks at Kfar Aza. A spokesperson for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu subsequently stated that babies and toddlers had been found with their “heads decapitated.”

Three hours later, Biden promoted the claim to the world and asserted he personally saw pictures of the horrifying scene, giving the story supreme legitimacy.

[. . .]
Biden has never publicly retracted the incendiary claims. And the Washington Post reported that the president had been urged by staffers not to make that allegation in his speech on October 11, “because those reports were unverified.”

Lies have promoted this assault and prolonged it and it's not Joe Biden suffering, it's the residents of Gaza.   DEUTSCHE WELLE reports

There is a level of acceptance that the people of Gaza will be "left to starve or even probably die of starvation," Ahmed Bayram, a spokesperson for the Norwegian Refugee Council, told DW on Friday.

"This has to stop," he said, sharing his concern that there is still no sign of a new cease-fire between Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas.

Bayram said only two aid trucks entered Gaza during the previous day (Thursday), which is "nowhere near enough to cover the immense needs on the ground."

Giving an example of how Gaza's infrastructure has collapsed due to the assault by Israel, Bayram noted how just one day of rain had made a desperate situation worse.

"One day of rains in Gaza and the streets turned into a quagmire. Ambulance crews couldn't access people stuck under the rubble. Imagine being stuck under the rubble and there's flooding all over. No one can reach you," he said.

Bayram said the conflict between Israel and Hamas is taking Gaza back not decades but centuries.

Around the world, people protest this continued assault, these War Crimes.  Jake Johnson (COMMON DREAMS) notes:

On the eighth night of Hanukkah, Jewish activists and allies took to the streets of eight U.S. cities on Thursday to demand an end to the bloodshed in Gaza, blocking traffic on bridges and highways in a show of opposition to the Biden administration's continued support for the Israeli military's atrocities.

"It is horrifying to watch the U.S. government fully fund the Israeli government's relentless bombing campaign and the destruction of the people of Gaza," said Sara Bollag of the Washington, D.C. chapter of Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP), which helped organize the protests in Seattle; Philadelphia; Los Angeles; Portland, Oregon; Washington, D.C.; Chicago; Minneapolis; and Atlanta.

"I am here, as the great-granddaughter of a victim of the Holocaust, doing everything in my power to stop another genocide unfolding before our eyes," Bollag added.

In the nation's capital, demonstrators holding signs that read "Cease-Fire Now" and "Never Again for Anyone" and singing Hanukkah prayers shut down an overpass.

When does it end?  When does Joe Biden demand that it in?  When does Joe Biden stop supplying the weapons used to carry out this assault?

This morning, ALJAZEERA reports, "A photojournalist is severely beaten by an Israeli soldier in occupied East Jerusalem after worshippers were denied entry to Al-Aqsa Mosque."  This is insanity.  Every day, we see something take place that shouldn't be happening, that we can't believe is happening.  And every day it gets worse.  This is outrageous.  In another report, ALJAZEERA provides more details on the attack:

Turkish television has broadcast footage of the attack on Anadolu Agency photographer Mustafa al-Kharouf in the Wadi al-Joz neighbourhood in occupied East Jerusalem after worshippers were denied entry to Al-Aqsa Mosque.

In the video aired by CNN Turk, an Israeli army officer is seen hitting the photographer with his personal weapon before a second one grabs him by the neck and pushes him to the ground. Al-Kharouf is then violently kicked in the head while he is down.

Reporters Without Borders has released (PDF format warning) "2023 Round-Up: Journalists Killed, Detained, Held Hostage and Missing."  The good news?  "According to the annual round-up compiled by Reporters Without Borders (RSF), the number of journalists killed worldwide in connection with their work (45 as of 1 December 2023) is the lowest since 2002, despite the war in the Middle East."  And the bad?  "In Gaza, at least 13 journalists have been killed because of their work as journalists since the war began between Israel and Hamas, a total that rises to 56 if we include all journalists killed in the Gaza Strip, whether or not in the line of their work."   From the report:

War zones: grim toll of journalists killed in Gaza in 2023
Since the start of the Israel-Hamas war, in just two months, 17 journalists have lost their lives in the exercise of their duties in Gaza (13), Lebanon (3) and Israel (1), a toll that brings to 23 the number of journalists killed in war zones this year, versus 20 in 2022. Journalists have also died while covering armed clashes in northern Cameroon, northern Mali, Sudan, Syria and Ukraine.

Journalists are being killed in Gaza by Israeli forces.  December 7th, Human Rights Watch issued a report with the following bullet points:

  • Two Israeli strikes on a group of Lebanese, American, and Iraqi journalists in south Lebanon on October 13, 2023, were apparently deliberate attacks on civilians, which is a war crime.
  • Evidence indicates that the Israeli military knew or should have known that the group of people they were firing on were civilians.
  • Israel's key allies – the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Germany – should suspend military assistance and arms sales to Israel, given the risk they will be used for grave abuses.
