Burns Voted Against Providing Discounted Telecommunications Services For First Responders. On June 27, 2006, in the Senate Commerce, Science and Technology Committee, Burns voted against an amendment to the telecommunications bill (H.R. 5252) that would provide first responders with discounted telecommunications services for increasing interoperability.
